As we are all now aware a second blast has occurred at another nuclear reactor. While the reverberations that were felt 30 miles away have barely had time to subside we are already being alerted to the threat of yet a third explosion, from another of the many nuclear reactors located in this earthquake torn, tsunami ravaged, volcano threatened nation. As reported earlier there are over 50 nuclear facilities in Japan, and each of these plants have multiple nuclear reactors.
We are being informed that each of these explosions as they occur do not increase risks of radiation exposure, or have not released excessive amounts of radiation, because the containment vessels are reported to be intact. While the integrity of the containment vessels are of great importance, there is one less secured hazard that we should be asking about... Where are the spent fuel rods and waste pools located?
As we can read here, and at multiple sources regarding nuclear waste product "The spent fuel rods from a nuclear reactor are the most radioactive of all nuclear wastes. When all the radiation given off by nuclear waste is tallied, the fuel rods give off 99%".
This article goes on to state that "Most nuclear power plants have a temporary storage pool next to the reactor" . I did here one report 2 days ago about "storage pools on the rooftop" of the building that exploded, but was later unable to verify with source. Appearantly these spent rods are supposed to cool in the pools of boric acid for like 6 months, but this article states "The spent fuel rods are supposed to stay in the pool for only about 6 months, but, because there is no permanent storage site, they often stay there for years".
So question is does it really matter if the reactor vessels are secure? Where is waste storage located? Have these containers and pools been blown to kingdom come? With each explosion how much is the most toxic product from nuclear power production, the radioactive waste?
I again post this link to radiation monitering stations in the United States and recommend everyone use their own best judgement on how dangerous or real the threat of radiation reaching the U.S. May be.

2nd Reactor Explosion in Japan
Late and getting ready for bed , but multiple sources reporting second explosion. This blast was felt 30 miles away.

Fears Multiply Over Radiocative Fallout From Japan Reaching U.S. on Jetstream
As noted in a previous article regarding the dangers of Nuclear fallout from Japan reaching the United States, clearly it is possible that with a large enough blast, which would push matter high enough to be picked up by the jet stream, these radioactive particles could reach our shores. But just how large is the threat we all must face together?
Most of us are familiar with the two worst nuclear accidents on record, which were the 1986 Chernobyl disaster in Ukraine, and a partial core meltdown that occurred in the US at the Three Mile Island reactor in Pennsylvania back in 1979. But what if we multiply the disaster scenario X3? Or even X4?
One important question on the lips of many here in the U.S. and worldwide, which still remains unanswered is "How many reactors are actually in danger of experiencing meltdown?" How large is the threat of Nuclear fallout in the U.S.?
Japan has over 50 nuclear plants, of these it is clear there is a minimum of seven of these nuclear facilities that are at risk, located directly within the disaster zone. Each of these individual plants have multiple reactors. Of these facilities, plus two others in Sendai, even if they are currently stable, they remain at risk for cooling failure, because of ongoing aftershocks.
We may not know the exact number of reactors in danger of meltdown, but we do know the danger has not abated. Experts have stated major concerns that of the reactors brought into question, some of which have been "shut down", there is still increasing heat in the core.
This is where "meltdown" will occur, this core. As we have heard the "core", the "rods" are inside a containment vessel. If the core melts through this reactor vessel though, as explained by Dr Bergeron in an article titled "Experts fear 'Chernobyl-like' crisis for Japan", "it could flow onto the floor of the containment building. If that happens, the structure will likely fail". This will make the initial first blast seen, that left skeletal remains of the building but an intact (as far as we know) core, pale in comparison. If this is the case then should we then be expecting blast after blast to follow soon? From How many plants? How many reactors?
While it is reassurring to note that ABC news, citing Peter Bradford, a former member of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) states that "The containment building at this plant is certainly stronger than that at Chernobyl" The article does go on to say that it is "a lot less strong than at Three Mile Island, so time will tell, but the ominous bottom line, according to Peter Bradford is "if the cooling attempts fail, "at that point it's a Chernobyl-like situation where you start dumping in sand and cement".
The threat of a dominoe affect is very real. As reported early yesterday my own research had shown there were a total of 3 reactores in imminent danger, although only one being reported. Today ABC news correspondent Neil Sysona released this headline "Nuke Meltdown Threat Amid 2nd Blast Warning" The story goes on to state that "a blast at a second nuclear reactor was imminent".
We can only wait and watch, as the story unfolds minute by minute, and send prayers to those brave souls locked in a movie script that is being written as they act.
Prayers for those risking their lives while trying to save others by achieving a safe shutdown of who knows how many of these deadly nuclear reactors .

Would a Meltdown of One or More of Japan's Nuclear Reactors Place the United States in Danger of Radiation Fallout?
With the very real threat on the horizon of a meltdown being actually in process right now at not one, not two, but possibly three or more nuclear reactors are you, and the rest of the United States in imminent danger of contamination from dangerous radiation from nuclear fallout?
There is a map widely circulating that predicts deadly doses coming across on the jetstream, according to another article titled West Coast USA Danger IF Japan Nuclear Reactor Meltdown, aside from the "immediately deadly doses", the only other thing really innaccurate about the map is that the fallout will arrive sooner.
Why would the west coast USA be in danger?
This article states, similar to other opinions, that "The prevailing jet stream winds are blowing from Japan directly across the Pacific ocean to the west coast of the United States. Any airborne radiation would make its way across with the jet stream, reaching the U.S. in approximately 36 hours, depending on the actual speed of the jet".
Link also provides detailed Images of the Jet Stream from Japan to the U.S., as well as detailed reactor information.
The author explains a number of things to know about Cesium-137, "IF" there is a complete meltdown and release into the environment. Information from the U.S. EPA states that "Radioactive cesium-137 is produced when uranium and plutonium absorb neutrons and undergo fission, and has a half-life of 30 years. Cesium moves easily through the environment".
Most fallout prediction maps show central California (San Francisco) to north to the Oregon border to be in the bulls-eye for the most part, although most show that it is likely none of the west really will escape with the wind current pattern in effect as forecasted.
If you doubt that the jet stream would carry the particles this far consider this tidbit from history...The Japanese sent balloon bombs to CONUS during WWII. A few of them made it to locations in the western US. They used the Jet Stream, something our scientists didn't even know about. It is detailed in this article, titled How Geologists Unraveled the Mystery of Japanese Vengeance Balloon Bombs in World War II, by author David Rogers, who states "The balloons were crafted from mulberry paper, glued together with potato flour and filled with expansive hydrogen. They were 33 feet in diameter and could lift approximately 1,000 pounds, but the deadly portion of their cargo was a 33-lb anti-personnel fragmentation bomb, attached to a 64-foot long fuse that was intended to burn for 82 minutes before detonating".
Only time will tell, and there may not be very long to wait until we have the answers. Personally, as a cancer survivor, I have already had a lifetime of radiation doses, thank you very much and really do not need anymore.
Think of all the movies we have watched with the same life and death scenario, but then multiply by at least 3. Why Multiply? Well even the best of movies they were usually only struggling to shut down one reactor, in this case we know there are at least five major nuclear plants in the danger zone, each with multile reactors, so say a prayer for the real life actors that are there trying to avert catastrophe on a level that is unimaginable.

Why has Earth Decided to Shake Rattle and Roll Now?
Many people are not aware of the plethora of easily accessible data bases available for those interested enough to want to follow what happens in our world. All too often it's easier to just tune in to CNN or FOX and listen to what they have researched and reported on.
For example you can track outer space events from here . You can learn of solar events like the X Class flare that occurred in February, and another in March, this Wednesday, just before the 8.9 Japan quake hit.
These flares which usually take 1 - 3 days to arrive, can cause problems ranging from power outages and major grid failures like the east coast in the nineties, to radio, satellite and communication blackouts.
There may be reactions from the earth as well, such as severe weather systems, and possibly even earthquakes and volcanoes, which may be accompanied by Tsunami threats such as we are now experiencing.

This will not be a short lived event. Aftershocks, which have ranged as high as 7.8, are still ongoing, shaking Japan from the original epicenter that created the tsunami event. EACH of these signifigant aftershock will renew, or issue new Tsunami threats. No teling how long this may continue.
But what other events may be related? How and When and where might they be felt?
I will continue next to update regarding a number of Natural astronomical and solar events, past present and future, that are most likely all related to these current, and future threats.

Well it has certainly been a long time since I have posted here lol. It is not that I have not been staying current, or vocal, quite the contrair, I have just mostly been hanging out and communicating via Facebook more lately.
I have a cold, which as a throat cancer survivor is especially a pain in the A#&. My nose has been so stuffed, and since my salivary glands have been severly compromised(to the point of non existent) by the radiation and chemo treatments, words cannot describe how horribly dry my throat has been and continues to be. Mouth breathing sucks:( Hey on the plus side though... I NEVER drool on my pillows anymore:)
My shoulder, after the surgery in December continues to cause pain and limitations in my life, and physical therapy (AKA Self inflicted torture) has not been able to improve the problems. My shoulder is 3x as bad now, as it was prior to surgery, and that REALLY sucks, and there is no bright side that comes to mind at the moment. GRRRR.
So, What's up in the world? I am going to be following this post with a number of "catch up" entries, based upon FB discussions over the past few weeks. I see my last post here was in regards to Egypt's uprising, so I am far behind lol. I will pass on getting into the Wisconsin / collective bargaining rights protests and Lybia for today, in lieu of catching up on "earth" events, which may be all related.
I say this because as bad as the Japan earthquake and resulting tsunami waves which threaten the US West Coast are, I think that soon we may see things getting much worse.
